Ten years ago, Tania found herself curious about pivoting her legal career into the cybersecurity field. Cybersecurity was not well-established at the time but she saw an opportunity to differentiate herself and considered pursuing a Masters in Cybersecurity to supplement her law degree. Her manager told her it was a silly idea so Tania tucked it away, dismissing it. The idea resurfaced one year later and Tania enrolled in the Masters Program while pregnant with her second child and working full-time. Tania completed the program 2 years later and discovered soon thereafter that her curiosity had paid off.  Five months after completing her degree, Tania was hired into a new cybersecurity law role, successfully carving out a niche for herself that hadn’t before existed. Cybersecurity law opened more doors for Tania than anyone could have imagined and today she is considered an expert in her field.

As a Latina and the first in her family to go to law school, Tania has continuously pursued her dreams with relentless determination.
